Common Content Marketing Mistakes Corrected By the Content Marketing Experts (Part II)

Just like the previous part of this write-up, I am again going to share few more mistakes and their corrections.  All this content is created by discussing with the content marketing experts so try to pay heed to all the points mentioned below. These mistakes are very common and silly mistakes but if you can correct and do not repeat them then there are chances that you will rule the world of content marketing.
Mistake: Teach instead of selling. The main idea of content marketing is to guide the reader first then sell the product. But the common mistake we do is that we start selling instead of guiding them.
Solution: My marketing professor always taught us that firstly make people realize about what are the problems they are facing then tell them how you can solve that problem through your product. Similarly, in content marketing, you should guide the reader about what is the solution of the problem and whom should they contact for the same. Anyhow by seeing your video or company’s name they will visit you first only.
Mistake: No research work. Content marketing experts always say that every word should be written only after a complete research on the topic but people don’t do it. One should know what they are talking about before writing the whole write-up.
Solution: Suppose you wish to write an article on grammar usage in write-ups then it's better you do a thorough study on grammar before writing the tips and the better option is keep a grammar book in front of you for reference. Write everything but only when you are sure that it is the right thing to say or write.
Mistake: Goal Uncertainty. You wrote the content but didn’t know how it is going to be used or why it is being used then the content is meaningless.

Solution: suppose you are a movie director and the writer gives you the script in the form of the article instead of dialogues. Then that script is of no use to that director as it is not meeting his goal of making the movie. Similarly, whenever you write content think where it is going to be used and what for? Else instead of helping the business it will take it on a downward spiral.
